Global Quality Director
– Amphenol Communications Solutions Location: Boston, Massachusetts Location: Remote, Northeast Wage: Depends on Experience Employment type: Full-time Amphenol is one of the largest manufacturers of interconnect products in the world. The Company designs, manufactures and markets electrical, electronic and fiber optic connectors, coaxial and flat-ribbon cable, and interconnect systems. The primary end markets for the Company's products are communications and information processing, including cable television, cellular telephone and data communication, storage, and information processing systems; aerospace and military electronics; and automotive, rail and other transportation and industrial applications. Responsibilities
Oversee all aspects of the quality management system across multiple manufacturing sites globally Set and drive global quality strategy to meet customer expectations Manage product and process quality to meet customer satisfaction metrics through formal continuous improvement program Manage customer quality requirements through documentation review, process capability/control, and detailed inspection plans Responsible for presentation of business unit level quality metrics to corporate management Manage all quality related aspects of customer and supplier relationships, including management of both customer and supplier corrective action processes Participate in customer audits / site visits to support local manufacturing teams Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior management, distilling complex technical information into clear, concise presentations to drive aligned decisions on quality issues and initiatives, and obtain buy-in from key stakeholders Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical discipline 15+ years of progressive experience in quality operations working with a global team Knowledge of cable manufacturing processes is preferred Quality management experience with strong leadership skills Working knowledge and proven leadership in continuous improvement activities and formal programs Experience working directly with customers and suppliers Ability to travel up to ~20%, or as situation arises Additional information
