Overview The Program Manager will lead planning and implementation activities for Northwestern Memorial HealthCare. This will include developing work plans and metrics, monitoring progress to ensure activities are on time and on budget, coordinating internal and external resources, and completing activities as assigned. The Program Manager will work closely with managers, directors and clinicians to develop work plans, metrics and resources to achieve the department’s strategic goals and objectives. The role reflects NM’s mission, vision, and values and adheres to the organization’s Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and regulatory and accreditation standards.
Responsibilities
Develop and manage budgets, resource allocation, information distribution, meeting facilitation and overall performance reporting for assigned projects.
Apply standard project management methodologies throughout the project lifecycle (analysis, design, implementation, verification, and value measurement).
Utilize project management tools to ensure accuracy for planning, procurement and budgeting.
Participate in analyst activities such as requirements analysis, resource identification, solution definition, white paper development, implementation/work plan development, design, system testing, training plans and rollout strategies.
Manage day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope; minimize exposure and risk.
Prepare and review deliverables for leadership approval; ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
Establish and execute effective communication mechanisms to enable ongoing exchange of project status, ideas and information among team members, project sponsors and vendor partners.
Maintain communications regarding project status.
Work within the project budget to ensure expenditures are aligned with NMHC's Long Term Financial Plan and Annual Capital Budget.
Provide leadership and guidance to define, plan and implement projects.
Develop and maintain productive relationships with clients and team members; effectively manage problems and recommend mitigation strategies to achieve desired results.
Create and execute project work plans and revise as needed to meet changing needs and requirements.
Qualifications Required:
Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, Communications or related field.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
Demonstrated project management and organizational skills, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Preferred:
Master’s degree in MBA or MHA (preferred; may be required in lieu of work experience).
Nursing license or clinical experience.
Prior quality and analytics background.
