Responsibilities

Land an end-to-end value proposition for Security (e.g., Zero Trust) across the Microsoft Security portfolio. Empower customers in their Microsoft Security adoption journey by defining a Secure strategy, Architecture, and implementation of security controls aligned with Microsoft Azure and M365 E5 Security Services, including Identity and Access Management, Threat Protection, Cloud Security, and Information Protection. Perform hands-on activities evaluating native security solutions (e.g., Microsoft 365 Defender, Defender for Cloud, Sentinel, Azure Active Directory). Accelerate business value of Azure adoption by improving security posture and ensuring a Secure by Design/Well-Architected solution with performance, security, scalability, maintainability, reusability, and reliability. Lead Architectural Design Sessions to plan solution implementation, aligning design with business goals and technical environments; achieve consensus on design and next steps toward production. Be a Voice of Customer, sharing insights with Global Security teams to remove blockers and influence the solution roadmap. Troubleshoot technical issues to prove value of security technology deployments. Collaborate with other Cloud Solution Architects and Microsoft stakeholders to develop complex end-to-end Enterprise solutions on the Microsoft Security platform. Orchestrate technical resources required to deliver business outcomes. Other duties as assigned; Embody our Culture and Values. Qualifications

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field AND 4+ years of experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, IT consulting/support, systems administration, network operations, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting. OR equivalent experience. Experience in consultative/complex technical security sales and deployment projects, architecture, design, implementation, and/or support of highly distributed applications. Technical Certification in Cloud (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google) or security certifications. Note: Microsoft cannot sponsor a work visa for this role due to the job duties. Other Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or related field AND 8+ years of experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, IT consulting/support, systems administration, network operations, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting. OR Master's Degree in the same fields AND 6+ years of experience. OR equivalent experience. 4+ years of experience in a customer-facing role. 4+ years of experience on technical projects. 5+ years of success in consultative/complex technical security sales and deployment projects, architecture, design, implementation, and/or support of highly distributed applications. Technical preferences in one or more categories:

Cloud security: design, architect, and implement Azure security solutions (e.g., Defender for Cloud, Defender for Cloud, Sentinel) and related infrastructure security. Threat Protection: design/implement Microsoft 365 Defender, Defender for Cloud, Sentinel; security playbook development. Identity and Access Management: implement Azure Active Directory and related security controls (Conditional Access, Identity Protection, Identity Governance, Intune/Endpoint protection).

Certification in Microsoft Azure Security Technologies, Cloud Security, and related areas. Knowledge of cloud security platforms. Enterprise-scale technical experience and ability to learn new cloud security technologies and understand market trends. Experience with Zero Trust, threat management, Security Operations Center monitoring, Extended Detection & Response, Access Control, Cloud Security Architecture, and/or Data Security. Compensation

Cloud Solution Architecture IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD 106,400 - 203,600 per year. There is a different range for specific locations; IC4 in SF Bay Area / NYC is USD 137,600 - 222,600. Cloud Solution Architecture IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD 130,900 - 251,900 per year. In SF Bay Area / NYC, the range is USD 165,600 - 272,300. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
