WVU Medicine The Vice President, Post Acute Services, serves as the highly capable leader responsible for shaping and executing strategy for all post-acute care domains within WVU Medicine. This role has oversight of vital programs such as Home Health, Hospice, Home Medical Equipment (HME), and related services, while emphasizing leadership development, operational excellence, and the cultivation of strategic partnerships. The VP is charged with driving innovation, expanding services, optimizing quality and access, and ensuring the financial sustainability of post-acute offerings across the health system. Minimum Qualifications

Education, Certification, and/or Licensure: Master’s or Doctorate degree in nursing, healthcare administration, business management, or a related field MD or DO Preferred (Licensed in the state of WV if a practicing physician) Experience: Ten (10) years’ experience, with at least seven years in a leadership role. Knowledge of regulatory oversight including CMS and other accreditation bodies with surveys exceeding state and national travel trends. Experience with population health national trends and acute hospital case management processes. Prior clinical experience working with patients preferred. Core Duties and Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership: Set vision and strategy for post-acute care services across WVU Medicine, including Home Health, Hospice, HME, and related programs. Oversight and Management: Direct enterprise directors for HME, Hospice, and Home Health, along with directors in Access, Quality & Regulatory domains for both Home Health and Hospice services. Leadership Development: Establish a culture of excellence, accountability and respect throughout the division. Create an operating model that empowers leaders to lead effectively. Expansion: Lead service expansion and partnership strategies, including assessment and pursuit of new Certificate of Need (CON) opportunities within WVU Medicine markets. Strategic Partner: Establish self as solutions-oriented partner with Peak Health, system hospitals and physicians to implement creative solutions that lower total cost of care, such programs to consider would be Hospital at Home, expansion of remote patient monitoring programs and palliative medicine Network Development: Collaborate with Peak Partner to lower cost of care through preferred provider programs for SNF (Skilled Nursing Facility), Hospice, Home Health, and HME to assure high quality and efficient access to post acute services throughout the WVU Medicine market. Create new revenue streams that support the enhancement of services through philanthropy or grants. Operational Oversight: Ensure effective management of 9 home health agencies with current average daily census of 1500 and 4 hospice agencies with current average daily census of 168. Direct enterprise wide HME operations currently consisting of 60 FTEs and $9M net revenue. Quality and Regulatory Compliance: Assure effective quality and regulatory programs across the division. Marketing & Outreach: Establish a highly effective outreach program to promote post-acute services across the system. Physical Requirements
