Overview
Raiz Federal Credit Union has created a new leadership role for an experienced
Vice President of Accounting and Finance (VP)
as it continues to build on its momentum of growth. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, this position will play a key role in developing short- and long-term goals, while directing and maintaining controls over the organization’s financial plans, policies, and accounting practices. The VP will provide counsel to management on fiscal control and profitability, preparing budget reports for Senior Management and the Board of Directors. The VP is responsible for safeguarding the Credit Union’s assets, administering fiscal record-keeping, and ensuring that internal and external recording and reporting of financial transactions are accurate and up-to-date by established legal, regulatory, and procedural requirements. Responsibilities
Develop short- and long-term goals; direct and maintain controls over financial plans, policies, and accounting practices. Provide counsel to management on fiscal control and profitability. Prepare budget reports for Senior Management and the Board of Directors. Safeguard the Credit Union’s assets and administer fiscal record-keeping. Ensure accurate internal and external recording and reporting of financial transactions in accordance with legal, regulatory, and procedural requirements. Qualifications
Minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting, forecasting, and financial analysis; Credit Union experience preferred. Minimum of 5 years of management experience overseeing accounting and finance professionals. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field. Graduate degree, CPA or CMA license desired.
