Key Responsibilities Of Senior Property Accountant
Day‑to‑day financial operations including:
Preparing and issuing tenant billings
Review the coding of vendor invoices to ensure accuracy and timely vendor payments
Adhering to the proper approval process
Assist with bank reconciliations and daily cash management.
Reconcile bank accounts.
Collaborate on annual budget preparation.
Assist Financial Controller with annual financial audits, CAM reconciliations, and property tax filings to ensure regulatory compliance.
Ad‑hoc accounting projects.
Qualifications Of Senior Property Accountant
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Minimum of 3 years’ accounting experience; real estate/property management background required.
Proficiency with property management software (e.g., AppFolio, Yardi, MRI, RealPage) and advanced Excel skills.
Strong analytical abilities, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
