Overview
The Leasing Consultant is the community's sales representative and is responsible for interacting with residents (potential and existing) on behalf of FPI to assist with viewing/touring the property, providing accurate information about each apartment home, properly processing rental applications, securing lease agreements from qualified persons, and assisting with lease renewals as required. The Leasing Consultant conducts all duties in accordance with Fair Housing Laws and Company policy, and supports the overall objective of meeting the Client’s expectations based on the financial operating budget and management agreement. Property Details Property Name: Bayside at Coronado Address: 1515 2nd St, Coronado, CA 92118, USA Full-Time Unit Count: 550 Reliable transportation to and from work, possibly including off-site training locations, is required to fulfill job duties. Pay : $21 - $22 / Hour Duties and Responsibilities
Client relations: Carry out the philosophies and wishes of the Owner in daily operations to meet Client objectives and expectations. Communication: Maintain positive, professional, and effective communication with applicants, residents, vendors, clients, and guests while representing FPI. Leasing/Occupancy: Maintain occupancy levels as established by owner/budget, exhibit professional leasing techniques, assist with monthly Market Surveys and analysis, assist with advertising/marketing strategies, exhibit closing ratios for phone and walk-in traffic, update online marketing sources daily, and promote resident/management relations for retention. Resident services and retention: Assist with resident retention programs and ensure move-in orientation is completed consistently. Documentation and reporting: Maintain resident files and reporting systems in accordance with FPI procedures; assist with periodic reporting as requested; ensure compliance with risk management items and report injuries or property damage through proper channels. Facility maintenance: Assist residents with reporting maintenance needs and ensure timely completion; monitor the asset and follow up on maintenance requests. Policies and professionalism: Enforce community rules and FPI procedures; comply with Fair Housing Laws; adhere to Dress Code; maintain a professional image when communicating with all stakeholders; complete required training (Grace Hill, Safety Meetings, etc.). Other: Perform any other duties as directed by the supervisor, including special projects. Qualifications
Minimum Requirements: Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role, preferably in Residential Property Management. Experience in hospitality, retail, sales, or customer service will be considered. High School diploma or equivalency certificate required. Valid Driver’s License with a good driving record, current motor vehicle insurance meeting state requirements, and an operable vehicle per FPI policy. Proficient in English (speaking, reading, writing). Strong computer skills (MS Office, Google Apps, property management software, email, internet, social media).
