Position Overview

New York Life is seeking a highly qualified leader to join the Corporate Development & Strategy (CD&S) team as Head of Enterprise Strategy based in New York. We are looking for a dynamic and result-oriented leader to develop, align, and execute our long-term strategic agenda and to influence major investment decisions across the enterprise. The Head of Enterprise Strategy will report to the Head of Corporate Development & Strategy and will have direct responsibility for enterprise and select business strategy functions, strategic planning, and New York Life's internal consulting group (approximately 15–20 employees). This role collaborates across other capabilities in the CD&S team, including corporate development, business intelligence, and enterprise relationship management. Responsibilities

Thought Leadership, Advisory, and Executive Communication: Lead development and refinement of the enterprise strategy in alignment with the CEO and executive leadership; develop robust business strategies for a portfolio of standalone businesses; devise pragmatic solutions to key strategic and operational issues; present recommendations to senior leadership; provide enterprise program management to ensure execution of cross-functional initiatives; oversee materials for senior executive audiences and meetings (e.g., Board Meetings, Executive Offsites). Strategic Planning: Support interdependent strategic planning processes across business, technology, and financial planning; facilitate structured reviews of the enterprise portfolio and implications (budget, resource allocation). Project Leadership: Oversee implementation of key initiatives; lead execution by forming partnerships across businesses and functions; provide strategic oversight and governance for initiatives across the executive management team. People Management: Lead and motivate a high-performing, diverse team; ensure ongoing training and development. Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or related field required; MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred. 15+ years of experience in corporate strategy, management consulting, and/or strategic planning roles. Proven success in leading enterprise- and business-level strategy development and execution. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; experience in developing C-suite presentations; executive presence with the ability to influence senior leaders. Experience in financial services is preferred; insurance expertise is a plus. Broad understanding of current technology practices (Agile, Cloud/SaaS, Enterprise Data Management) and emerging trends (AI, InsurTech) is desired. Ability to work collaboratively, adapt leadership style to audience, and drive alignment across the organization. Pay Transparency

Salary Range: $300,000 to $350,000 Overtime eligible: Exempt Discretionary bonus eligible: Yes Sales bonus eligible: No Actual base salary determined by experience, skills, qualifications, and location; eligible for annual discretionary bonus and potential incentive program. Our Benefits
