Summary Goldbelt Security is looking for an IT Specialist to assist with troubleshooting and maintaining computer equipment and related devices such as desktops, laptops, peripherals, and mobile devices for employees. This person will support the IT manager for an approximately hundred-person unit on-site at the Pentagon. They must have a solid familiarity with Information Technology. While technical acumen is required, the ability to learn and self-teach are paramount. They will interface daily with senior military and government customers and must conduct themselves professionally and with the highest standards of customer service at all times.
Responsibilities
Provide desktop support and ability to troubleshooting issues over the phone
Set up basic computer hardware such as desktops, keyboards, KVM Switches, monitors, VOIP’s
Set up and configure peripheral devices such as microphones, web cameras, and other devices as required
Configure mobile devices
Assist with inventory and accountability of property: computer equipment, mobile devices, etc.
Work with senior military and government personnel
Interact with VIPs professionally and courteously
Complete training and certifications as required
Will attend customer service meetings
Assist customers with filling out standard government forms such as system access requests
Assist customers and staff with capturing functional IT requirements for consideration by team lead
Assist in the setup and teardown of IT equipment for group events
Full time, on-site position at the Pentagon
Qualifications
Basic computer hardware configuration such as removing hard drives from desktops and or laptops
Solid experience and ability to achieve high proficiency configuring Microsoft Office 365 Professional
Familiarity with and ability to achieve high proficiency with collaboration platforms (MS Teams a plus)
Experience configuring standard office products such as Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Reader
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to work on a team
Ability to take direction and execute independently
Familiarity with creating and tracking trouble tickets
Able to lift and move up to 25 pounds
Frequently moving between offices on different floors and 100 yards apart
Minimum Qualifications
2 - 5 years help desk technician experience
Ability to obtain Secret clearance
Military service or experience working with military
Must have reliable transportation to work on site at the Pentagon.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
DISA Purebred experience
Pay And Benefits The salary range for this position is $87,500 to $92,500 annually.
