Position Summary
This position is responsible for supporting the client services and transfer agency operating functions for Ares sponsored Alternative Investment Solutions distributed by Ares Wealth Management Solutions which includes non-traded REITs, non-traded BDCs, interval/tender offer funds and private funds across investment strategies including real estate, private credit and private equity. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to service our new strategies and growing capital raising efforts while continuing to service our existing shareholders and financial advisors representing approximately $12.9 billion of capital raised to date from institutional and retail investors. Primary Functions & Responsibilities
Provide team leadership by designing the execution of key processing workflows and the delivery of high-quality shareholder servicing to our investor and advisor base including but not limited to overseeing the client service teams that take inbound phone and written inquiries, researching and resolving shareholder related matters, and making outbound phone calls as needed. Assist in designing and executing onboarding for financial intermediaries to facilitate smooth integration with the transfer agent and AWMS. Oversee third-party transfer agent, fintech and custodian functions by ensuring service levels are met, designing workflows between broker dealer partners, and implementing technical, design, and operational reviews of distributions, redemptions, and purchases. Participate in industry working groups Identify areas of the business which could be streamlined through the application of technology Partnership with Ares Wealth Management Solutions, our introducing broker dealer’s management team on wholesaler operational education, streamlining of processes, and improving the advisor and home office operational experience. Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
5-10 years of Alternative Investments shareholder operations with either financial intermediaries, transfer agents, or product sponsors Proven ability and strong desire to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment required. Ability to learn and utilize service provider technology systems required. Effective communication skills required, including ability to interact with external financial advisor clients and investors. Highly organized, with a conscientious approach to work and dependability required. Proficient in Microsoft Excel. FINRA license is not required but welcome Reporting Relationships
Managing Director, Client Services Compensation
The anticipated base salary range for this position is listed below. Total compensation may also include a discretionary performance-based bonus. Note, the range takes into account a broad spectrum of qualifications, including, but not limited to, years of relevant work experience, education, and other relevant qualifications specific to the role. $130,000 - $160,000 The firm also offers robust benefits including comprehensive medical/rx, dental and vision plans; 401(k) program with company match; Flexible Savings Accounts (FSA); Healthcare Savings Accounts (HSA) with company contribution; Basic and Voluntary Life Insurance; Long-Term Disability (LTD) and Short-Term Disability (STD) insurance; Employee Assistance Program (EAP), and Commuter Benefits plan for parking and transit.
