Overview
We are seeking a Senior Medicaid Salesforce Solution Architect who will support our client. This role will support the Continuing Medicaid Eligibility Modernization Program, which focuses on implementing eligibility determinations for the Medicaid complex (Non-MAGI) population using modern technologies, automation, and industry best practices. The Architect will work closely with business partners, vendors, and internal teams to design scalable, secure solutions while guiding development and integration efforts. This is an exempt position. Salary commensurate with experience.* Duties
Lead application architecture design, ensuring interoperability between cloud, on-premises, and third-party systems. Review current infrastructure, applications, and business requirements to define optimal cloud and Salesforce solutions. Develop and implement migration strategies for applications, data, and infrastructure with minimal disruption. Architect and develop solutions using Salesforce Low-code platform, Java, Python, and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP). Design and define API architecture and standards within a microservices environment. Design and implement Managed File Transfer (MFT) solutions for secure and efficient file exchange. Implement containerized solutions (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker) for scalability, reliability, and security. Collaborate with business leaders, vendors, and developers to align cloud strategies with program needs. Monitor, manage, and optimize cloud environments for performance, cost efficiency, and scalability. Provide verbal and written communication to management, users, vendors, and technical teams. Mandatory Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field. 8+ years of progressively responsible IT experience developing large-scale systems, including 3+ years in team management. 5+ years architecting solutions with Java, Python, AWS, and/or GCP. 3+ years architecting and developing solutions using Salesforce Low-code platform. Ability to work onsite at client location in Albany, NY ~50% (local/regional candidates preferred). Desirable Qualifications
Experience managing vendors, including monitoring SLAs and contract compliance. Experience working in health and human services or with Medicaid programs, preferably in New York State. Strong background in designing and implementing APIs and MFT solutions. Hands-on experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.). Proven success delivering Salesforce cloud solutions that create measurable business value. AWS/GCP industry certifications.
