Technical Manager I (Electrical Engineer) – Chicago, IL. Syska Hennessy Group is a global leader in consulting, engineering, and commissioning services with expertise in MEP, ICT, architectural lighting, vertical transportation, and commissioning. We are seeking a Technical Manager I to join our team in Chicago, IL. This role involves management review and control over multiple units of engineering work, integrating several specialized areas of engineering to serve a business segment or directing a single specialization serving multiple business units. Responsibilities
Provide overall review and control over multiple engineering projects in the market sector. Improve technical execution and develop the technical approach to the Critical Facilities Market Sector. Participate in Expert Teams to coordinate development of general technical standards with other technical leaders. Support Resource Manager in recruiting technical talent. Build relationships with technical vendors. Develop technical preeminence and conduct team technical training. Ensure technical quality on projects and apply smart technical concepts on major projects. Develop the technical QA process and participate extensively on projects. Write technical white papers and speak at technical conferences. Utilize QA processes for proactive development of processes. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution. PE license required. 10+ years of Project Management experience. 12+ years of experience in a consulting firm with a background in the MEP Engineering Industry (Senior level). 8 years of supervisory experience. Healthcare design experience and experience on projects in Healthcare, Federal, Critical Facilities, Commercial, and Aviation are a good fit. Benefits & Compensation
