Designs, develops, and documents for the release of new products to manufacturing. Interfaces with cross-functional teams and directly interacts with customers to analyze market opportunities, set project goals, and achieve objectives. Responsible for customer satisfaction and the financial performance of assigned projects. Leads training for peers and junior engineers and staff. Position Responsibilities
Manages design and application work for 10 to 15 projects concurrently, including complex technology developments and difficult customer interactions. Runs projects with limited oversight from management. Maintains consistent interaction with OEM customers; critical communication and/or negotiations are reviewed with the management team before release. Establishes project targets through internal research and customer interaction. Organizes project timeline and action items with cross-functional teams (design, test, NPI, quality, manufacturing). Oversees fabrication of prototypes using knowledge of Fox components; evaluates product fitment and supports vehicle calibration. Conducts design and testing, including field testing and vehicle operation. Creates and maintains 3D models, 2D drawings, BOMs and ECN documentation. Tracks the project to the target and reports to upper management at key milestones. Focuses on meeting customer needs and project profitability requirements. Creo/3D modeling or similar CAD design software Project Management Time management and prioritization abilities Microsoft Office Customer Mindset: Exceptional customer experience is the primary focus; quality is a top priority. Education BS in Mechanical Engineering or a related field Experience 5+ years of experience in product development and hands-on design. Mechatronics Experience, Preferred Experience in automotive, power sports, or related industry preferred. Work Environment And Physical Requirements
