Responsibilities
Develops and provides students with an approved DeVry University syllabus that follows a campus template, including terminal course objectives. Organizes, prepares, and regularly revises and updates all course materials. Uses appropriate online technologies and course-related software, including websites, e-mail, and online discussions to prepare the course and make it accessible to students. Models effective oral and written communications that engage students, provide clarity, and improve student learning. Sets clear course expectations by publishing terminal objectives, assignment/examination dates, and weight distribution of evaluation categories. Ensures content and level of material on exams align with course terminal objectives. Demonstrates consistency and fairness in exam preparation and grading, and provides timely feedback to students. Completes other duties as assigned. Qualifications
A doctorate in Finance or a doctoral degree in a related field with 15 graduate credit hours in Finance is required. Qualifying credentials must be awarded by an institution accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education Administration, or an international institution determined to hold equivalent accreditation. Please upload a copy of your unofficial transcripts (graduate level and above) with your application. Additional requirements driven by state licensing or accreditation considerations may apply. Faculty must have requisite subject matter expertise and outstanding communication skills. Faculty must also have excellent motivational and instructional skills in a diverse and non-traditional environment. Visiting Professor pay is based on level, credit hours taught per 8-week session, and location. Pay may vary by state and is not guaranteed in terms of a specific number of work hours or assignments. Pay may vary in most states from $1,500-$2,700 per 8-week session. In AZ, CA, IN, and PA, pay is $22.00/hour or $23.50/hour. Benefits
