Location: Washington, DC 20433 Duration: 6 Months Hybrid Onsite: 4 Days per week onsite from Day1 Scope of work
The consultant will: Design, configure, and troubleshoot oracle backup solutions using Cohesity. Integrate backup monitoring with Splunk, including development of custom scripts and dashboards. Develop API-based integrations with ServiceNow CMDB for automated oracle asset and backup status updates. Automate backup processes using programming and scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell). Set up Oracle database backups in accordance with industry best practices, including for Oracle Exadata environments. Configure secure offsite backup solutions to cloud and tape, ensuring reliable data transfer and retention. Skills/Experience Required
8-10 years of relevant experience in handling enterprise level Backup Infrastructure and 2-3 years on Cohesity Backup Infrastructure - Strong understanding of Cohesity Data platform architecture. Experience with initial cluster configuration, managing Hardware, Cloud Nodes, upgrading the clusters and managing storage domains. In-depth knowledge of Cohesity Network settings and Firewall configuration; expertise on performing all backup and recovery operations (Policy creation, Protection Group Creation, registering various sources such as Virtual servers, Physical servers, NAS Servers, Databases, Pure Storage Volumes) and recovering any registered sources; ability to utilize Cohesity Apps based on environmental requirements. “Mindlance is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate in employment on the basis of – Minority/Gender/Disability/Religion/LGBTQI/Age/Veterans.” Seniority level
