Senior - Principal Engineer - Municipal Water Conveyance & Storage role at West Yost. Hybrid role with 3 days in the office and 2 days remote. Preference for Lake Oswego or Medford, OR offices; will consider other office locations for the right candidate. Location & Schedule
Location: Lake Oswego, OR or Medford, OR (hybrid: 3 days in office, 2 days remote). Compensation & Benefits
Compensation range: $117,050 to $175,230 for candidates in Lake Oswego, OR. Geographic salary differentials apply for other regions. Responsibilities
Oversee and assist team members with water infrastructure planning and design tasks. Perform complex engineering tasks: designs, reports, construction drawings, specifications, and calculations. Review designs for compliance with engineering principles, standards, and contractual requirements. Develop proposals and budgets for lower-risk/scoped engineering efforts. Meet with clients to define project scope, staffing estimates, and fees; maintain client contact throughout projects. Balance workload projections and coordinate with engineers and managers to manage staff capacity. Mentor and train Associate Engineers, Engineers, and Engineering Interns; conduct technical reviews of staff work. Prepare specifications, contract documents, and opinions of probable cost and construction schedules; act as project manager or team member on larger projects. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering. 12+ years of relevant experience. Excellent writing and communication skills; experience with CAD and GIS. Professional Engineer (PE) licensure. Master’s degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering (preferred). Travel
