Responsibilities
Lead client engagements at a high level on sophisticated trust and estate planning needs and coordinate with stakeholders across the client team.
Collaborate with outside attorneys, the client, and other professionals to determine valuation of companies, deed research, cash flow analysis, real estate, mineral interests, entity formation, succession planning, and successful plan implementation.
Work with firm leaders to deliver accurate, high-quality planning and support a diverse group of business owners to implement estate plans and, when needed, entity reorganization.
Qualifications
10+ years of professional experience in trust, estate planning, probate, and fiduciary matters
Technical capabilities include:
Experience with passthrough entities (partnerships and S corporations)
Experience with entity selection and reorganization, including choice of entity, restructuring, buying and selling of businesses, and determining ultimate ownership
Transaction modeling and cash flow planning
Understanding of tax reporting requirements
Ability to read and understand financial statements and tax returns
Ability to review legal documents to ensure ideas are properly implemented
Demonstrated success in building and managing professional relationships with responsibility for accurate and timely client deliverables
Strong communication, cognitive, interpersonal, self-management and organizational skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, and Excel)
Curiosity to go beyond the textbook and provide solutions to client problems

Bonus Skills and Experience
Juris Doctorate with experience in M&A and drafting/reviewing contracts
Experience with compliance returns for estates and trusts (Forms 1041, 709, and 706)
Partnership issues including 754 elections, disguised sales, mergers/divisions, special allocations, debt and basis issues
S-corporation issues including ownership changes and trust ownership
Corporate and noncorporate reorganizations, mergers, and acquisitions
Asset transfers
Transition planning for closely held businesses

Compensation A reasonable estimate of the current range is $125,000 to $200,000. Compensation decisions consider experience, skills, certifications/licenses, and geographic location.

You must live in a state where Pinion has a registered entity and is actively hiring. Please check the list of excluded states for the most up-to-date information.
