Pavement Engineer – Senior, Project, and Associate Levels Base pay range: $80,000.00/yr - $170,000.00/yr A Pavement Engineer position on a growing geotechnical and civil engineering team with experience in pavement evaluation, design, forensic assessments, and construction support. The role involves working on a range of projects from private development to high-profile public works infrastructure, with access to in-house pavement testing and analysis capabilities. Responsibilities
Conduct pavement condition evaluations, field investigations, and testing Perform PCI surveys and support pavement management plans Analyze pavement data and contribute to technical reports Design pavement sections (new and rehabilitated, flexible and rigid) Support or manage construction observation and materials testing Participate in forensic assessments and develop corrective recommendations Use AutoCAD, GIS, and pavement software for design, analysis, and mapping Collaborate with interdisciplinary engineering teams Manage projects, proposals, budgets, and schedules as applicable Key Requirements
BS in Civil Engineering with coursework or interest in pavement engineering 0 to 10+ years of pavement-related experience Nice to have
Hands-on field experience (FWD, GPR, DCP, PCI surveys, etc.) Proficiency in AutoCAD, ArcGIS, MicroPAVER, StreetSaver, and GPR processing software (e.g., RADAN) Strong report writing and data analysis capabilities EIT certification or California Professional Engineer (PE) license (preferred) Master's in Civil Engineering (preferred) Why join us
