Design electrical engineering solutions for novel VR/AR devices and systems Establish and conduct collaborations with internal and external technology partners and vendors Co-lead the engineering of large and complex multidisciplinary hardware projects Discover new trends and solutions in high speed interconnects (e.g., MIPI, USB, PCIe, Ethernet) Apply engineering solutions to power, size, and thermal requirements Contribute hands-on to developing schematics, guiding board layout, assembly, testing, debugging, and integration of multi-component electrical systems; understand configuration options for RTL for programmable logic Assess design tradeoffs and communicate them to stakeholders to achieve appropriate balances Identify project risks and provide mitigation recommendations across cost, schedule, design robustness, and manufacturing challenges Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or related field 5+ years of experience in Electrical Engineering or related industry Experience with designing, measuring, and debugging high-speed and low-speed interfaces (MIPI, USB, PCIe, I2C, UART, SPI, I2S) from both electrical and protocol perspectives Experience with schematic and high-speed board design using Cadence OrCAD, Altium, or equivalent, targeting HDI design Experience with test equipment (oscilloscopes, high-speed digital test equipment, logic analyzers, function generators) Basic programming skills in Python or C++, including data analysis, scripting, and automation Understanding of hardware design phases from ideation through manufacturing and use Preferred Qualifications

Experience owning research hardware engineering design and execution tasks Experience with sensors (cameras, lidars, proximity sensors, microphones, IMUs, depth sensors) Experience with battery-powered low-power systems Ability to collaborate effectively beyond core technical specialty Experience designing consumer products Experience in analog and digital design simulation MS degree or equivalent in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related field Experience with hardware systems for computer vision 2+ years of experience in research or advanced development Experience with hard power, weight, thermal, and compute constraints Experience with wireless technologies (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC), RF circuit design, RF PCB design, and RF simulation tools Experience with rapid prototyping using existing designs and representative components/models About Meta
