We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented, and proactive game day Stage Manager to oversee the coordination and execution of live performances, court activations and rehearsals for the Los Angeles Lakers and South Bay Lakers. The Stage Manager will be responsible for ensuring the seamless operation of all technical and logistical aspects of every Lakers and South Bay Lakers home game, serving as a line of communication between the Lakers GE Department, AEG Staff, and Corporate Partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with all on-court rehearsals including halftime, national anthem, and on-court contests or ceremonies.

Manage timing, placement, and execution of all in-game entertainment elements such as timeouts, halftime performances, and sponsored activations.

Track and communicate any changes in game-flow or production notes to the appropriate parties.

Maintain safety and professionalism backstage and in the rehearsal environment at all times.

Serve as a liaison between Lakers Game Entertainment, talent, camera ops, Laker Girls and in-arena hosts on game nights.

Troubleshoot and resolve any on-site issues quickly and efficiently.

Work closely with the Lakers GE intern to manage backstage operations for both SBL and LAL home games.

Miscellaneous Responsibilities

Produce all printed material on game days for SBL and LAL.

Assist in game day setup for the South Bay Lakers.

Assist Arena Operations for events such as Lakers Live, Fan Appreciation, and South Bay Lakers theme nights.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Stage Manager or Assistant Stage Manager in live production settings.

Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure.

Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Must be able to commit to all SBL and LAL home games.

Preferred

Background in sports marketing, live event production, theater, or broadcasting

Ability to lift 50-75 lbs

Knowledge of basketball game flow, NBA/NCAA game rules, or similar is a big plus.

Comfortable working nights, weekends, and holidays based on team schedule.

Passion for sports and live entertainment

Pay range:

$24.00-$29.00 per hour. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience and certifications. We also consider the relative pay of our current employees in similar positions when making a final offer.
