Objective The Visual Manager is a critical member of the store leadership team accountable for bringing Alo’s visual and product strategy to life in the store. This role is passionate about planning, product knowledge, analyzing reporting and visual execution – all with a lens on driving efficient and effective visual merchandising. The north star is ensuring that the store is customer-ready at all times. Duties require movement on the sales floor and back of house. When not assisting guests, this position takes initiative to perform other tasks to keep the store clean, safe, inviting and operating efficiently. Visual Manager Responsibilities Oversee and support execution of key operational and visual processes Champion strong visual standards for the sales floor using business performance data Lead strategic product presentation and merchandising by ensuring product recovery, restock, destock, and making visual merchandising changes in accordance with directives and in partnership with the General/Store Manager Plan visual floor changes through payroll management and adapt visual support to business needs Own visual direction from planning through execution to meet company expectations, budgets and timelines Utilize reporting tools with management to identify opportunities for product placement, outfitting, and stock levels; make changes as necessary Business Leadership Represent the business in meetings and on conference calls in partnership with the General/Store Manager Review and monitor budget, reporting and other business data (e.g., expenses, sell-through) to inform planning processes Plan for future business needs to protect optimal performance People Leadership Ensure the Visual team embodies Alo’s mission and guiding principles to communicate who we are and why we do what we do Lead a team through accountability, coaching, development of talent, and effective communication Establish internal and external pipeline via succession planning and recruitment strategy Flow Experience Leadership Oversee execution of deliverables on the sales floor, achieve KPIs, and protect operational efficiency and visual sets Collaborate with the General/Store Manager’s vision and work cross-functionally to support goals and achieve visual and sales floor KPIs Navigate the organization balancing business needs and brand culture Visual Manager Qualifications 3-5 years of retail or related industry leadership experience Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) Strong interpersonal and communication skills, verbal and written Agile with the ability to handle multiple tasks in a changing environment Independent work ethic, time management and personal accountability Aligns with Alo’s Guiding Principles Requires constant movement in and around all areas of the store Ability to lift, push, carry or move up to 50 pounds Ability to lift, bend, kneel, climb, crawl and/or twist, and safely climb up/down a ladder Ability to stand and move for an entire shift Visual Manager Schedule To build a balanced schedule that supports the needs of the business and our teams, all full-time employees should have open availability and be able to work variable shifts including peak days and weekends. Availability to work during the company’s blackout period (week of American Thanksgiving through the end of the holiday season) is required.
