About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Department Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Variable (Nights or Mid-shifts) Hours per Shift: 36 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Valid Registered Nurse license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC (preferred), NRP (preferred) Must-Have: Charge experience, EKGs, IV starts, familiarity with TNKase administration, nebulizer treatments, initiating Bipap, suture removal, assisting with casting, vent management Description: Immediate start needed. This is a variable contract with night or mid-shift options (10a - 10p). The facility features 11 beds including trauma ED beds, a behavioral seclusion room, and negative pressure rooms. Patient types range from neonates to geriatrics. The emergency department serves a variety of patients including trauma, stroke, STEMI, and behavioral health cases. Patient ratios are RN 1:4 and may vary based on patient acuity. Support on the unit includes day-shift respiratory therapy and round-the-clock hospitalist coverage. ED technicians are scheduled for specific hours with security available 24/7. Charting is managed through a specific electronic system. Weekend rotation includes every other weekend. No on-call requirements are necessary. Holiday work may be required as needed. Time off must be approved by management. Staff is welcome to wear any professional scrub color. There is a changing room available for employees. The community and workplace culture are known for their welcoming atmosphere.
