Evening Shift SUMMARY The Nursing Unit Secretary performs clerical duties according to the job description that contributes to the operation of the unit. Time frame may be revised with mutual agreement of unit administrator's specific specialty areas. JOB REQUIREMENTS 1. Work requires a high school level of educational development. 2. No certification, registration, or licensure required. 3. Work requires the analytical skills to gather and interpret data in situations in which the information or problems are relatively routine. 4. Work requires computer skills to include Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. Ability to learn EPIC and other computer based systems. 5. Work requires the ability to understand and respond to simple written or verbal instructions. Incumbents must respond appropriately to instructions, questions, or requests for information. Work occasionally requires contact with patients and/or visitors which involve courtesy. Required Physical, Mental, and Visual Abilities 1. Work requires occasionally reaching and grasping objects. 2. Work requires regularly using a keyboard to interact with computer system. 3. Work may require long periods of sitting. 4. Work requires proofreading and/or reviewing documents. Salary Range: Minimum $16.40/hour - Maximum $27.09/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
