In this role, you will support our care team and patients by ensuring a smooth check-in process, scheduling appointments, answering phone inquiries, managing payments, and keeping patient demographic information up to date. This position involves using our practice management system (PM) and electronic health record (EHR) in line with established office policies. Schedule:

Our hours of operation are Monday to Friday, requiring flexibility to work between 7:45 AM and 7:15 PM. You must be available for at least one late night shift per week and rotating Saturdays approximately every 4-5 weeks (from 8 AM to 1:30 PM). Location:

1110 Durham Rd. Madison, CT and 162 East Main St. Clinton, CT. You may also need to travel to other offices in the region based on business needs. Primary Responsibilities: Greet patients and oversee the check-in process, including: Collecting and verifying demographic information Updating insurance details when necessary Verifying eligibility and tagging appointments correctly Scanning insurance cards Collecting co-payments and outstanding balances Posting payments in the practice management system and providing receipts Acknowledging patients in EPIC Schedule appointments following approved guidelines Utilize EHR functionalities for call processing and clinical communication Monitor reminder call logs and reach out to patients for appointments, including follow-ups for missed visits Handle administrative tasks in EHR promptly Scan and index documents into the EHR; ensure necessary documents are accessible for patient visits Close payment batches at the end of each shift and balance them according to company procedures Manage administrative inboxes and task queues Support your coworkers to maintain smooth office operations and ensure excellent service Exhibit professionalism and respect towards patients and staff while ensuring confidentiality Perform additional tasks as assigned You will be rewarded for your contributions in an environment that challenges you and provides clear guidance on achieving success in your role, along with opportunities for further development. Required Qualifications: High School Diploma/GED (or higher) 1+ years of customer service experience 1+ years of experience with Microsoft Office Preferred Qualifications: Experience as a receptionist in a healthcare environment Familiarity with Epic software Previous experience in pediatrics The salary range for this role is $16.00 to $28.85 per hour based on full-time employment.
