$27.61 - $41.41 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience Summary: Join our team as a Sleep Study Technician, where you will play a critical role in providing exceptional care to patients undergoing sleep studies and treatment for sleep disorders. Responsibilities: Prepare for patient arrival by setting up and readying equipment for tests and conducting patient interviews to assess sleep disorders and explain testing procedures. Conduct sleep tests and any additional required evaluations regarding sleep disorders. Score, interpret, and report results from sleep studies. Provide educational support to patients regarding test results, sleep disorders, community resources, and support groups. Maintain and calibrate testing equipment, performing repairs as needed and reporting further requirements. Demonstrate critical thinking, decision-making skills, and the ability to work independently in a dynamic environment. Requirements: High school diploma or GED. Preferably a graduate of an accredited Polysomnography or Respiratory Therapy program. Registered as a Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT) or equivalent, or Registered as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). State licensure if required. BLS certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer, valid prior to start date.
