The Analytics team is a data-driven group focused on unlocking insights that improve member outcomes and drive business performance. The team sits at the intersection of data, strategy, and execution and reports directly to the Vice President, Data Engineering, Analytics, and AI in Product Development. In this role, you will lead complex data analyses to support clinical, operational, and financial decisions, mentor junior analysts, and collaborate with business stakeholders. What You’ll Do Business Intelligence Solutions: Design, develop, and maintain BI solutions using tools like Looker, Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms. Data Visualization: Create interactive and user-friendly reports and dashboards to present data-driven insights to stakeholders. Data Analysis: Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights that drive business decisions. Data Modeling: Create and optimize data models to support efficient data analysis and reporting. SQL Knowledge: Write efficient SQL queries to retrieve and analyze data from various databases/sources, ensuring data accuracy and reliability. Data Landscape: Build understanding of data sources used for reporting and identify areas for improvement in reporting processes, contributing innovative solutions. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand analytical needs and provide data-driven solutions. Representation in Technical and Non-Technical Forums: Communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and vice versa. Report/Data Maintenance: Regularly audit data pipelines and reports to reflect changes in data and KPIs. Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues related to data quality, pipelines, reports, and performance. Continuous Learning: Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in BI and data analytics. Documentation: Maintain clear documentation for BI solutions, including data models and report specifications. Additional project work as assigned. To Be Successful In This Role, You’ll Need Proven experience (8+ years) as a BI Developer or in a similar role. Excellent proficiency with data analysis/visualization tools (Looker, LookML, Tableau, Power BI, Presto SQL) to develop front-end reports that are user-friendly. Deep understanding of data architecture, schema design, and dimensional modeling for analytics and machine learning. Very strong SQL skills and ability to write efficient queries for data retrieval and analysis. Working knowledge of Python for data manipulation and automation. Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret and communicate complex data insights effectively. Agility to navigate ambiguity and propose new processes when gaps are present. Strong attention to detail and the ability to deliver high-quality work within deadlines. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present to executive audiences and distill complex information into clear, concise communications. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Fluent in Microsoft and/or Google productivity software. Pay Transparency and Location This is a hybrid position based out of one of our offices: San Francisco, CA, Plano, TX, or Lehi, UT. Hybrid employees are expected to be in the office two days per week. The actual pay rate offered within the range depends on geographic location, qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
