Food Service Worker Lead.

WORK SCHEDULE

Part time, 60% FTE (24 hours per week)

Sunday 3pm-11:30pm, Monday/Tuesday 11pm-7:30am (overnight shift)

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS

The Food Service Worker 2 is part of the multi-disciplinary team providing food service to Harborview's retail customers. Within this role, they perform advanced Food Service Worker duties such as leading Food Service Worker 1s or independently operating a remote food service area such as the coffee bar. They may also function as an assistant to cooks or bakers.

Independently operate a remote food service area / espresso bar

Performs routine work in preparing and serving espresso beverages and food items and cleaning activities

Performs a variety of duties in the preparation and service of espresso beverages and food items

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Provides excellent, respectful customer service to a diverse customer base, in a medical setting.

Train new or unskilled employees in the preparation and service of espresso beverages and food items; cleaning and stocking duties and departmental procedures.

Operate all espresso and/or food service equipment and machinery.

Prepare and serve food items. Stock supplies necessary for preparation and service of beverages and food items. Display food and espresso items in attractive manner.

Operate cash register. Handle cash, check and charge payments for beverage and food items in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.

REQUIREMENTS

Possession of, or eligible to obtain a Washington State Food Worker Card within two weeks of employment AND one year of experience preparing and serving food and beverage.

Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and/or registration.

$44,256.00 annual
