What Learning Development and Delivery contributes to Cardinal Health
Learning develops, deploys and evaluates learning solutions to support employee development and build organizational capability in alignment to business strategies. This function analyzes learning needs and develops training curricula, technologies, and programs. This function also manages trainings provided by third-parties and partners with leaders and subject matter experts within functions and business units to deliver learning.
Learning Development and Delivery provides instructor-led trainings and manages training processes to maximize the value that employees gain from learning solutions. This job family delivers training materials including presentations, guides and manuals, and course evaluations and coordinate training schedules based on training needs.
Position Overview
The Consultant, Learning Business Partner is responsible for managing learning program development and delivery and serving as a Learning Business Partner for the Enterprise Academy with a primary focus on Finance and Ethics & Compliance.
Responsibilities
Perform Learning Business Partner responsibilities for specific internal clients: consult with internal clients to identify development needs/gaps, collaborate with appropriate partners to recommend and develop learning solutions, ongoing sustainment and measurement of programs
Develop learning strategy and contribute to business reviews with senior business leaders
Guide key business initiatives focused on upskilling/reskilling of existing employees
Ability to operate with a sense of urgency, and willing to roll up sleeves, driving for results by set deadlines on multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to adapt to changing business needs
Support delivery strategy, including facilitation
Maintain strong partnership with Instructional Design & Development Hub team applying project management methodology; guide subject matter experts in program design and execution
May include responsibility for maintaining vendor relationships
Recommends new practices, processes, metrics, or models
Uses effective questioning and probing skills to adapt and modify delivery
Provides feedback on course design and content to Instructional Design & Development (IDD) team
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred
5+ years of training or business-related experience, preferred
Strong consulting, influence and relationship management skills
Program design and management experience
Demonstrated ability navigating diverse business functions
Knowledge of adult learning theories and best practices
Passion for process improvement and innovation
Demonstrates knowledge and effective use of training system technologies, presentation/facilitation tools, techniques, and materials
Working knowledge of Instructional Design & Development Lifecycle; familiarity with human centered learning / design thinking preferred
Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and work with short timeframes
Highly motivated, creative, self-sufficient, able to operate effectively with a team
Travel expected at 25% or less
