This job is a member of the Finance and Analytics Team within the American Airlines Credit Union. The role is responsible for providing advanced analytical, financial and technical support for both ongoing and ad-hoc projects related to lending and product management.
What you'll do
Identify analytical and business intelligence needs
Evaluate report results to help provide conclusions regarding trends
Prepare reports for the Credit Union's Board of Directors and senior management on the Credit Union's products and services
Provide monthly and quarterly ad-hoc analyses and reports, on the Credit Union's products and services
Perform competitive analysis for all Credit Union products and services
Prepare departmental budgets and monitor monthly expenses
Develop exception reporting tools to enhance efficiency and ensure proper application of Credit Union policies and procedures
Utilize the resources of the Data Analytics department to identify improvements to existing business processes and opportunities to better manage the Credit Union's products and services
Act as a lead for product development or product enhancement projects/reporting
Work in a team environment, serving as an advocate for our members and employees
Perform other duties, as assigned
The selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring the security and confidentiality of all account and related information which is part of their work and for ensuring that his/her work is in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations including, but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act.
All you'll need for success
Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
High school diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
Four year degree in Finance, Information Technology or related field
Three years' experience in similar or related field
Skills, Licenses & Certifications
Skilled in Microsoft Office software (e.g., Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) gained through either work experience with the software or education and hands-on use of the software
Knowledge of AA Credit Union systems, databases and processes
Ability to maintain existing databases and create new databases, including managing the links and relationships among multiple data sources
Ability to import data on a monthly basis form multiple source files, including, flat, Dbase, SQL and Oracle databases and maintain import specs and validate source data
Ability to perform in a fast paced environment, handle multiple tasks and function as an integral part of a team
Ability to self-motivate with strong organization skills and capacity for attention to detail
Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
Ability to effectively prioritize work and meet deadlines
Ability to speak, read, and write Spanish is a plus
Ability to maintain satisfactory performance and attendance
Ability to pass applicable American Airlines and Credit Union pre-hire compliance checks
