Job Type:
Contract to Hire (5 Months-perm)
Pay Range:
$23.00– $28.00+/hour (Per diem outside of 50 miles)
Per Diem
various by job distance ($30-$120/Day)
Per diem up to 120/day when
travelling out of state. Would not be for more than a few weeks at a time, but
they could have to travel to Texas or Washington State for large projects this
year
Annual 3% cost of living adjustment and merit-based raises every April
Position Summary
This role involves the installation, assembly, fabrication,
maintenance, and repair of stainless steel and carbon steel piping systems in
industrial and construction environments.
Key Responsibilities
Install, assemble, and maintain piping systems made of stainless and carbon steel.
Read and interpret blueprints, isometric drawings, and technical schematics.
Cut, thread, and hammer pipe using saws, cutting torches, and pipe threaders.
Inspect installations for conformance to specifications and safety standards.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other trades to ensure timely project completion.
Required Skills & Experience
Minimum 3
years
of experience with stainless steel and carbon steel piping systems.
Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics.
Strong knowledge of pipefitting tools, equipment, and safety procedures.
Preferred
Qualifications (not required)
Ability to read and work from blueprints.
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.
Work Environment
Work in diverse environments including heavy industrial plants and new construction sites.
Potential job sites include
Ingevity, Ineos, and Kinder Morgan
in Charleston, SC.
