Our client is seeking a Sr. Project Engineer to join their team. The Sr. Project Engineer will contribute to projects that not only maintain standards but also drive improvement across our facilities. This role offers the opportunity to manage capital projects with slightly smaller scope and complexity than a Principal Project Engineer, while still playing a critical role in ensuring operations thrive. Your expertise will help execute projects seamlessly, optimize processes, and enable tangible business outcomes, while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams. Job Title: Sr. Project Engineer Location: Zeeland, MI What's the Job? Develop conceptual project scopes by collaborating with facility staff, engineering, cross-functional departments, and external resources.

Prepare detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocations

Manage multiple capital projects of varying scales, leading cross-functional teams of internal and external resources.

Generate all necessary project documentation including drawing packages, equipment specifications, user requirement specifications, bid packages, and qualification protocols.

Oversee project design and development to ensure delivery of project objectives on time and within approved budgets.

Manage contractors, building construction, and field installation; ensure equipment, workmanship, and operations integrity meet corporate standards.

Conduct Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) or Pre-Delivery Inspections at suppliers' sites as required.

Oversee equipment start-up, commissioning, and training.

Uphold Health and Safety standards for staff and external resources throughout project execution.

What's Needed? Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, or related field).

5-8+ years of experience in project engineering, process design, and capital project execution in manufacturing, pharmaceutical, or industrial sectors.

Proven ability to manage multiple capital projects simultaneously with diverse technical scopes (powder blending/transport, HVAC, liquid processing, packaging, etc.).

Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of industrial processing and packaging equipment/systems.

Solid knowledge of project management principles, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource management.

Familiarity with cGMP, FDA, and ISO standards (preferred but not mandatory).

Proficiency in engineering software/tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, MS Project, Microsoft Office Suite).

Exceptional leadership, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to collaborate across multiple levels of the organization.

Experience managing internal teams and external contractors to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Willingness to travel as required.
