Description
Summary:
Perform basic maintenance tasks in support of building needs. A valid driver's license is required, with a record that meets the agency's standard.
Specifics:
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds without assistance.
• Must be able to operate both powered and non-powered lawn and grounds maintenance equipment.
• Must be able to operate basic power tools.
• Must be able to climb ladders.
• Must be able to negotiate confined spaces.
• Must be able to work in all outdoor climatic conditions.
• Must be able to operate agency motor vehicles and possess a valid New York State operator’s license with a driving history acceptable to the agency.
• Plumbing: repair flushometers, replace washers, copper sweating, leak repairs, correct plumbing stoppages, replace toilets, and sink repairs.
• Electric: replace outlets and switches, install wall
• Carpentry: repair doors, furniture, holes in walls, rough carpentry repairs on grounds, etc
• Masonry: rough repairs to walls, stone fencing, etc.
• To assist with multitude of tasks that arise in a maintenance program.
• May be required to assist in any agency needs at any agency sites.
• Able to handle any and all custodian maintenance problems that arise.
