Position Overview

The Senior CNC Machine Repair Technician is responsible for expert-level maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of the electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems of our high-precision CNC machines and manufacturing systems. This role requires advanced troubleshooting skills, strong technical expertise, and leadership in supporting less experienced technicians. The Senior Technician will work closely with engineering, operations, and production teams to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime.

Key Responsibilities

Lead installation, maintenance, and repair activities for mechanical, electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on CNC machine tools.

Perform advanced diagnostics to identify root causes of machine malfunctions and implement effective solutions.

Repair or replace defective parts, hydraulic/air components, and electronic control units.

Assemble, reassemble, and align complex electronic and mechanical components.

Repair and rebuild motors, transformers, and gear assemblies.

Oversee and perform preventative maintenance schedules to maximize equipment performance.

Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior technicians.

Collaborate with engineering and production teams to recommend equipment upgrades and process improvements.

Maintain detailed maintenance records and documentation of work performed.

Skills & Qualifications

High School Diploma required; Associate's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Technology preferred. Equivalent combination of education and extensive experience will be considered.

Minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience installing, troubleshooting, and repairing CNC machine tools.

Advanced experience with Fanuc controls; familiarity with Siemens and other CNC control systems is a plus.

Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with the ability to interpret schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.

Proficiency in hydraulic and pneumatic systems troubleshooting and repair.

Proven ability to lead projects and mentor junior team members.

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Compensation and Benefits

Pay Range: $36.00-$39.00/hour (depending on experience)
