Job Title: Extrusion Operator
Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and safety-conscious Extrusion Operator to join our manufacturing team. The Extrusion Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining extrusion machinery to produce high-quality plastic products. This role is crucial in ensuring production efficiency, product quality, and workplace safety.
Responsibilities
Set up and operate extrusion machines according to production schedules and specifications.
Monitor machine parameters and make adjustments to maintain product quality and consistency.
Inspect finished products for defects and ensure they meet quality standards.
Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Record production data, including material usage, output, and downtime.
Troubleshoot equipment issues and collaborate with maintenance teams for repairs.
Essential Skills
Mechanical skills
Troubleshooting
Experience in extrusion or a similar manufacturing environment
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
Basic math and computer skills
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
Ability to work overtime and Saturdays as needed
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with plastic, rubber, or metal extrusion processes preferred
Forklift certification is a plus
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications

Work Environment
The position operates on a 1st shift (2/2/3) from 8 am to 8 pm, with initial training on a Monday to Friday schedule from 8 am to 4:30 pm for 2-3 weeks. The work takes place in a standard manufacturing environment that is not temperature controlled, with heat generated by the machinery, making it warm in the summer.

The pay range for this position is $43680.00 - $49920.00/yr.
