As a Senior System Administrator, internally known as Senior Analyst, Information Workplace Services, you will collaborate with many teams to support exciting, critical programs with classified information system capabilities. Success in this role means you can develop, implement, and maintain secure, cost-efficient environments across various classified programs. Program teams rely on your collaboration and guidance to define computing requirements and create end-to-end solutions to solve complex IT infrastructure problems. What You Will Do: Monitor and maintain computer configurations and performance in a virtual VMware environment Perform Operating System, and hardware troubleshooting in bare-metal and virtual environments Work with engineering and operations teams to troubleshoot and support systems in a 24x7 operating environment Provide IT support new system developments and system upgrades Perform system backups and maintain system reconstitution capabilities and procedures Develop and implement scripts to monitor, improve and/or automate system performance and maintainability Maintain system documentation, configuration documents, user guides and troubleshooting procedures. Systems are operational 24x7 and occasionally require work effort beyond standard work hours. Full time 100% Onsite position. Qualifications You Must Have: Typically requires a bachelor's degree, minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience. Must have a current TS/SCI CI Poly transferable U.S. government issued prior to start date with the ability to obtain program access after start. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. Must have Linux experience Experience with administering virtual systems Must have a current DODI 8570.01-M IAT Level II (or higher) certification Qualifications We Prefer: Experience with Networking Experience supporting engineers in software, simulations, and hardware development. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
