Overview
The Business Systems Analyst mainly performs functions involving financial systems under the purview of the Controllers Office. These functions include data analysis, report preparation and metric monitoring. The role also involves planning and executing training sessions, developing training materials, and policy and procedure development and monitoring. The Analyst also supports the Controller and direct reports with administrative tasks and serves as the Controllers Office representative on various University committees and initiatives. Data analysis of financial information and related reporting Preparation of reports and monitoring of metrics Planning and delivering training sessions and developing training materials Policy and procedure development and monitoring Administrative support to the Controller and direct reports Representing the Controllers Office on University committees and initiatives Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent oral presentation and teaching skills Familiarity with Tulanes transactions and reporting requirements Familiarity with Tulanes organization and security requirements Demonstrated capability to extract data from accounting systems for analysis purposes Demonstrated capability to work independently, multi-task and meet deadlines Customer service orientation Required Education and/or Experience
Bachelors degree in business of systems related field One to two years of experience with University business systems. Preferred Qualifications
One to two years of experience in a complex business setting such as a hospital or business office will substitute for University experience. Two years of hand-on training experience Seniority level
