Description
Position Summary:
The lead bartender is responsible for maintaining a welcoming, friendly and engaging environment while adhering to all house and standard drink recipes and operating protocols. They will help with bar maintenance, liquor and wine inventory, and act as a beverage captain on events.
Work Performed:
• Holds other bartenders accountable for adhering to bar standard operating procedures
• Trains bartenders on proper drink curation and adherence to standard bar recipes
• Assists with wine inventory and wine cellar maintenance
• Manages inventory in designated cellar areas
• Responsible for inventorying and maintaining event bars, large scale drink preparation, and wine usage
• Arrive for all shifts on time and in appropriate uniform as described in the Employee Handbook.
• Verify age of patrons according to OLCC standards. Do not serve alcohol to intoxicated members/guests; inform your Manager immediately.
• Commitment to recognize and acknowledge members by name.
• Knowledge of all house wines, liquors, specialty cocktails and beers.
• Charge for drinks according to specific situations and bill to correct member account.
• Ability to use point of sale system (POS) efficiently and effectively.
• Assist in setting/resetting Club rooms for events as directed.
• Inspect the bar prior to opening to ensure that adequate supplies are available.
• Prepare garnishes, mixes and pre-mixed drinks.
• Stock bar as needed; maintain and clean all bar equipment.
• Maintain records of liquor, beers and wine to ensure bar stock is maintained at all times.
• Clean and lock up according to listed procedures.
• Answer the phone as necessary and transmit messages.
• Create and maintain a safe work environment, inform management of any hazards.
• Assist with service of wait staff whenever possible.
• Checks out with Manager on Duty before ending shift.
• Maintain dialogue with Members while upholding a warm, positive, and friendly persona.
• Required to work at various bars throughout the facility as assigned which includes the - Turn Bar, Grille Bar, Event Bars, and other bars as assigned.

Requirements
Minimum Requirements for Position:
• 2-4 years in a lead bartending role with previous bartending history.
• Full-time, flexible availability including evenings and weekends.
• Must be friendly and willing to work in a team environment and able to move according to the service needs of all dining areas.
• Extensive knowledge of common cocktails, wine, and beer.
• Maintain a high level of service during both busy and slow hours.
• All applicants must have a current Food Handlers Card and OLCC permit.
• A minimum of 21 years of age.
• Must pass company pre-employment background check.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift a minimum of 45 pounds consistently.
• Must be able to sit, walk, stand, bend and stoop for long periods of time.
• Being a bartender is physical work and this job also requires the ability to effectively multi-task in a fast paced and deadline-oriented environment.
