Maintenance Technician - 2nd & 3rd Shift We are looking for a Maintenance Technician for our Second & Third Shift Operations:

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the safe maintenance, repair or replacement of plant equipment and systems to ensure maximum production quantity and quality, while supporting the policies, goals and objective of the company.

Responsibilities

Promoting safety, quality, operations performance and continuous improvement throughout the organization Recommending maintenance and repairs based upon production needs and equipment demands to supervision, operations and/or management Coordinates the plant maintenance program based on best practices with an emphasis on planning/scheduling and preventive/predictive maintenance Monitors the use and inventories of spare parts, maintenance supplies and equipment and recommends reordering when necessary Monitors the computerized maintenance management system for tracking work orders, spare part and maintenance history of plant equipment Ensures that maintenance activity, supplies and purchases are conducted in accordance with company policy and applicable government regulations and laws Perform periodic and required maintenance and repairs on company property and equipment to maintain production, quality and safety Schedule periodic maintenance of equipment such as motors, overhead cranes, forklifts and some vehicle maintenance Review, prepare and maintain work orders relating to preventive and routine maintenance of equipment, machinery, company property and building repairs Authority

Working with outside contractors for repairs within company policy Recommending required maintenance supplies and equipment parts inventory within company guidelines to supervision Shutting down operations due to safety concern Duties

Inspect , troubleshoot, determine/recommend course of action on any equipment failures Monitoring of plan equipment and systems Perform needed repairs or coordinate with management the need for outside suppliers Advise plant operations of required work and timeliness of repairs Prepare and submit all required weekly/monthly reporting in a timely manner Perform other related duties or assignments and work additional and/or different hours as needed/required Standards of Performance

Ability to prioritize and manage job tasks in effective and timely manner Resolve inquiry/order changes and errors effectively and promptly within established time limits Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual goals Education/Experience

5-10 Years of previous steel and/or industrial production maintenance experience Familiarity with CNC controlled equipment, and overhead cranes and hydraulic equipment Extensive knowledge of industrial equipment repair both mechanical and electrical Knowledge and experience troubleshooting and repairing 10 ton Overhead Crane & CNC machinery such as Burning Machine, Industrial Bandsaws and Voortman machine
