Overview Senior Solution Consultant - Digital Grid Management role at Aspen Technology. This role is customer facing, positioning AspenTech – Digital Grid Management (DGM) solutions focused on electric utility real-time grid control systems (SCADA, EMS, GMS, DMS, OMS, DERMS). You will support the sales and marketing teams by showcasing our software products to potential clients and effectively communicating their value and functionality to meet specific business needs.

Conduct software demonstrations: Perform compelling and engaging demonstrations of our software products to potential clients, tailoring demonstrations to address specific prospect needs. Maintain a software demonstration system: Work with team members to maintain and upgrade the demonstration system, building demonstration scenarios to showcase the latest features. Maintain product knowledge: Develop and maintain deep knowledge of our software products, staying up to date with features, updates, and industry trends; communicate value and competitive advantages to potential clients. Provide Sales support: Collaborate with the sales team to understand client requirements and align demonstrations; provide technical expertise during client interactions. Collaborate with internal teams: Work with product management, development, and technical SMEs to stay informed about industry trends and contribute to product improvement; continually strengthen technical and industry knowledge to enhance demonstrations and collateral. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent years of relevant work experience. Experience in solution consulting and/or technical sales support, software sales, and/or industry experience. Ability to travel to domestic or international locations (up to 50%). Excellent presentation and communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. Strong technical aptitude and ability to quickly learn and understand complex software applications. Preferred Qualifications
Experience in electric utility control systems (SCADA, EMS, GMS, DMS, OMS, DERMS) or in utility operations or engineering support. Experience in software demonstration or sales engineering. Prior experience using OSI Monarch software. Ability to speak additional languages (e.g., Spanish, French, German, Portuguese). Familiarity with cybersecurity principles for critical infrastructure and NERC CIP standards. Solid understanding of electric utility systems, grid control technologies, and protocols (DNP3, Modbus, IEC 60870-5-101/104, ICCP, CIM). Experience with database systems and data modeling. Basic understanding of programming languages such as C/C++, Python, or batch scripts. Compensation and Benefits The salary range for this role is $99,400.00 - $124,300.00. This range represents the base compensation in good faith at the time of posting; final pay may vary based on factors. Role is eligible for bonus or variable incentive pay. A comprehensive benefits package is offered, including paid time off, charitable giveback day, medical/dental/vision insurance, and retirement benefits for eligible employees.
