Overview QA Lead position in Boston, MA (100% Onsite from day one). Interview process: 3 rounds (in-person final interview in Boston, MA). Must have skills in integration testing, performance testing, product testing, quality management, and quality leadership. This role leads QA strategy, team, and processes to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Leadership & Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of QA engineers; assign tasks, set priorities, monitor performance, and provide coaching and performance reviews. Quality Assurance Strategy & Planning: Define and maintain QA strategy; design test plans, test cases, and test scripts for manual and automated testing; establish QA processes, standards, and best practices. Test Management & Execution: Oversee functional, regression, integration, performance, and security testing; manage automated and manual testing; track and report testing progress and quality metrics. Collaboration & Communication: Work with product managers, developers, DevOps, and stakeholders; participate in Agile ceremonies; provide QA reports highlighting risks and improvement areas. Defect Management & Risk Mitigation: Identify, document, and track defects; guide root-cause analysis and timely resolution; conduct risk assessments in the testing lifecycle. Process Improvement & Automation: Improve QA processes; implement automated testing frameworks to support CI/CD; stay current with QA trends and tools. Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field. Experience: 5+ years in software quality assurance. Minimum of 2 years in a QA leadership or team management role. Technical Skills: Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and processes (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall). Proficiency in test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, Cypress, Appium). Experience with API testing tools (Postman, RestAssured, SoapUI). Knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Docker, Kubernetes). Solid SQL knowledge for database testing. Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus. Certifications:
ISTQB, CSTE, or other relevant QA certifications are preferred. Soft Skills: Leadership & Team Management: Ability to lead, motivate, and inspire QA teams. Analytical Thinking: Strong problem-solving skills to identify root causes and improve product quality. Attention to Detail: Meticulous in identifying issues affecting user experience. Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication for QA findings. Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills for cross-functional teamwork.
