Inventory Planning Full Time Training Program
The Inventory Planning Training Program is a robust 16 week rotational training program that gives you exposure to multiple areas of a corporate Inventory Planning team. Teammates will complete two rotations in two departments within Inventory Planning. During each rotation, you will have classroom training that you will then implement on the job. At the end of the program, you will then have the opportunity to be placed into a specific category/brand within Inventory Planning organization. The Inventory Planning department ensures that the AEO customer has what they want, when they want it, and where they need it. They determine appropriate levels of merchandise to send to each and every store. You will be responsible for replenishing store inventory levels based upon shipment received, as well as maintaining a well-balanced inventory in direct proportion to sales. Inventory Planners interpret and analyze inventory and sales reports, to make logical and profitable business decisions. Training Overview
Teammates will have the opportunity to rotate between two areas within the Inventory Planning department "On-the-Job" training with assignments guided by an individual Coach & Mentor Classroom learning that includes: retail math, reports, systems training, imports, department overviews, career path, and presentation skills Individual and group projects Roundtables with top executives Bi-weekly self-evaluations to understand progress throughout program Opportunity of being placed into an open role within an IP team upon completion of the program AEO runs two cadences of the Inventory Planning Full Time Training Program each year - February 2026 and July 2026 Qualifications
Preferred majors include a Business related degree - Finance, Management, Economics, Accounting, Logistics, Supply Chain Candidates must obtain their degree in advance of the intended program start date Minimum 3.0 GPA required Passion for retail and knowledge of the AEO Inc. family of brands Strong business acumen through classes, internships or prior work experience Ability to think strategically coupled with strong analytical skills Strong organizational, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, and presentation skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Demonstrated collaborative skills and ability to work well within a team Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting High degree of proficiency MS Office Suite, specifically Excel, Outlook & Internet applications Pay/Benefits Information: Actual starting pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to relevant experience and location.
