Mission/Job Scope: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced IT Business Analyst with expertise in collecting and creating requirements for Point of Sale (POS), Loyalty systems and associated PC applications that support our retail stores. This role involves creating/documenting gap analysis and working with Development and QA teams to validate as built against approved requirements. The IT Business Analyst role will communicate and collaborate with Business & IT stakeholders along with Vendor Partners to ensure quality delivery of our POS and other store system solutions.Additionally, this position will monitor contract retail system Business System Analysts on-boarded to support various enhancement projects ensuring that IT standards are followed and a quality work product is delivered. Responsibilities: Interact with Business and IT stakeholders to understand business needs, document requirements, and create user stories and specifications. Evaluate current processes, identify bottlenecks, and propose/recommend improvements. Collaborate with Internal and Vendor IT teams to design and develop IT solutions that align with requirements. Create detailed documentation, including process flows, functional specifications, and technical requirements, and communicating with stakeholders. Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT), providing support during system rollout, and monitoring system performance. Work closely with business and IT teams to ensure alignment and successful project outcomes. Monitor system performance, identify areas for improvement. May be involved in managing projects related to system implementation and enhancements. Identify and mitigate risks associated with new systems and processes. Ensure new systems and enhancements comply with relevant regulations and standards.(Example: PCI or SOX compliance) Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. 7+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, preferably in a retail or POS environment. Proven experience with POS systems, ideally Oracle Xstore or similar platforms. Experience working with Loyalty Programs, Inventory Management, or other retail-related systems is a plus. Strong understanding of retail store operations, preferably in a multi-location setting. Hands-on experience with agile methodologies and tools such as JIRA or Confluence. Demonstrated ability to document business processes, write clear requirements, and facilitate productive meetings. Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and lead cross-functional efforts.
