The ideal candidate will have practiced for at least 8 years, with experience ranging from structuring mergers, acquisitions and minority investment transactions, as well as forming private equity, venture capital and real estate funds, SPVs and other investment vehicles (including REITs), with a demonstrated proficiency in partnership and corporate tax (including drafting operating agreements and limited partnership agreements). Experience with executive and other equity-based compensation is desired but not necessary.
This attorney will be part of our Corporate, Tax & Transactions service line, and can be based in any of the following offices: Akron, Columbus or Toledo, Ohio; Sarasota, St. Petersburg or Tampa, Florida; Charlotte, North Carolina; Charleston, South Carolina; or Minneapolis, Minnesota; however, for the right candidate, we would be open to a hybrid/remote position.
Education, Experience and Skills Desired
Juris Doctor degree from an ABA accredited law school
Minimum 5+ years’ tax law experience (private practice preferred)
LL.M. in Taxation preferred
Active bar license in any state
Responsibilities
Lead its growing national tax practice.
