Position Summary:
VitalHire is seeking a skilled and compassionate Nuclear Medical Technician - Nuclear Med Technician / Radiology to join our growing clinician community. This high-impact opportunity offers a 5x8 Days at a leading Hospital in Orange, CA. Key Responsibilities:
Perform nuclear medical technology procedures including general nuclear medicine studies, Lexi scans, and PET/CT Conduct cardiac nuclear medicine procedures (required specialty area) Perform various nuclear medicine scans including bone, brain, liver, renal, and perfusion studies Execute specialized procedures such as adenosine infusion, captopril studies, and pharmacological stress tests Operate nuclear medicine equipment including three-phase imaging systems Start and maintain peripheral IVs as needed for procedures Perform EKGs and utilize PACS systems Work with adult and geriatric patient populations Handle preferred patient groups including neonates, infants, pediatrics, and adolescents Maintain current BLS and NMTCB certifications Maintain valid California state license Utilize Epic charting system for documentation Float between facilities within the state as required Complete required modules and training programs pre-start and annually Work 3 out of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day) Provide 2 supervisory references covering 1 year within last 3 years Self-report time spent on non-billable training modules Utilize facility-provided communication devices when required for assignment duties Comply with all facility policies and procedures
Job Requirements:
Active, unencumbered license in CA
Minimum of 1-7 years of relevant experience, depending on specialty
Current Certifications: BLS and/or ACLS, plus any specialty-specific requirements
Experience with EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, as applicable)
Other Required Documentation:
Current Resume listing detailed work history (MM/YYYY format)
Two current clinical references
State-required professional license
Physicial exam (completed within the past 12 months)
TB skin test or Quantiferon Gold (within the past 12 months)
Immunity Titers - MMR/Hep B/Varicella (declinations may be accepted)
Current Tdap and Flu vaccinations
Must pass background check and drug screening
