Application Engineer Responsible for the development and execution of seatbelt application products. Lead, execute, and support various project activities during critical phases of awarded programs. The Engineer will be responsible for product validation according to customer requirements to ensure timely production launch. Develop designs aligned with customer needs and Autolivs product/process roadmap. Business Units: Product Line Seatbelts, AMX, AST. What youll do: Create and manage CAD designs. Provide clear direction to the design team. Understand manufacturing processes and their relationship to design. Interpret customer specifications to create designs aligned with Autolivs product strategy. Communicate effectively in presentations (written/verbal). Work well under pressure. Support cross-functional teams including design, manufacturing, purchasing, quality, program management, and suppliers to ensure a successful program launch.

What is required: Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or a similar field. 3-5 years of product experience, specifically in seatbelts. Proficiency in CAD design. Ability to perform tolerance stack-up analysis. Application of GD&T on drawings. Understanding of manufacturing needs. Strong problem-solving skills. High energy, attention to detail, team-oriented, organized, manufacturing knowledge, CAD skills (V5), good communication skills, proactive in seeking help, open to ideas, and innovative in product, manufacturing, and development processes.
