We are seeking a seasoned Senior AI Cyber Defense Consultant to lead the advancement of an organization's AI Cyber Security program. This remote role involves designing, implementing, and optimizing advanced AI-driven cybersecurity strategies, with a focus on healthcare clients. You will translate complex technical challenges into actionable, compliant, and resilient security solutions that protect sensitive patient data and critical systems. This role requires deep cybersecurity expertise, strong AI/ML understanding, and a passion for safeguarding healthcare. This onsite/remote position may require occasional on-site travel and is expected to be proactive and independent. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise and a demonstrated ability to collaborate across all organizational levels. Responsibilities
AI Risk Management & Mitigation: Conduct comprehensive risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities in AI/ML systems, including adversarial attacks, data poisoning, and model inversion; architect and implement robust strategies to mitigate AI-specific security risks AI-Power Security Deployment & Integration: Lead the design, development, integration, and implementation of AI-driven security solutions (e.g., anomaly detection, threat intelligence, automated incident response); ensure AI is integrated with the broader security framework in alignment with business goals and regulatory mandates Threat Intelligence & Incident Response: Monitor AI/ML threat landscape, assess healthcare regulatory impacts, research new AI security technologies, and develop best practices in AI cyber defense for healthcare Education & Enablement: Develop and deliver training programs for AI users focusing on threat awareness and preventing data leaks Program Development & Governance: Establish and guide an AI governance program, define policies, and develop processes for safe, ethical, compliant AI use; oversee DLP governance for AI data use cases Strategic Advisory & Collaboration: Provide guidance to clients on AI-driven cyber defense strategies, risk assessments, and regulatory compliance (HIPAA, HITRUST, NIST); develop cybersecurity roadmaps and lead cross-functional collaboration to integrate new AI technologies Qualifications
Education & Experience: Minimum 8 years in cybersecurity with at least 2 years focused on AI-powered technologies, data security, threat analysis, governance, risk and compliance, and vulnerability management; Bachelor’s degree in CS, Cybersecurity, Data Science, IT or related field; Master’s preferred; equivalent experience considered Certifications: CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+, CEH or AI/ML-related certifications (e.g., SANS SEC595, CAIP, AWS/GCP) Technical Skills: Deep AI/ML expertise (generative AI, LLMs), experience with TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face, LangChain, Scikit-learn; strong cybersecurity foundation; data security, governance, cloud security on AWS/Azure/GCP; SIEM (Splunk, QRadar, or similar), EDR/SOAR tools; network security and NDR; OS hardening; scripting (Python, PowerShell, Java, Bash); adversarial ML; AI red teaming and threat modeling; AI incident response and model interpretability tools (SHAP, LIME); privacy-preserving AI techniques; knowledge of security platforms including Trellix ESM Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; clear written and verbal communication; ability to work independently and remotely with multiple client engagements Compliance & Standards: Knowledge of NIST RMF, NIST SP 800-53, MITRE ATT&CK, ISO/IEC 27001/27002; familiarity with HIPAA, HITECH, HITRUST, PCI DSS, GDPR Benefits
