Solution Architect - Workplace Technology Collaboration Tools
The Solution Architect - Principal 2 - WKOPS is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing innovative technology solutions for the workplace that align with the organization's strategic objectives. This role requires a deep understanding of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices to ensure the organization's technology infrastructure is scalable, reliable, and secure. Job Responsibilities Partners and collaborates with all stakeholders to understand and translate goals and objectives into architecture, roadmaps and capability models. Reconcile different perspectives and drive toward consensus. Looks across applications, infrastructure, technology components and data to when developing roadmaps and capability models that outline how technology solutions are and will be structured. Creates and maintains reusable artifacts and patterns. Harvests artifacts across initiatives to extend the library of reusable artifacts and patterns or to enhance the existing reusable artifacts. Develops policies, standards, guidelines, procedures and metrics that measure architectural quality and business outcomes. Engages with implementation teams to encourage and promote use of existing models, methods, services and other artifacts and capabilities resulting in increased speed of technology solution delivery, making such delivery more predictable and increasing the overall re-use of technology components. Researches architectural paradigms and modern architecture constructs. Learns how processes such as continuous delivery or technologies such as micro services impact technology architecture. Ensures compatibility with existing solutions infrastructure, services and strategic requirements. Act as a bridge among various parties during implementation of architecture components and their integration. Communicates the objectives and business outcomes of the technology architecture and the associated use cases in which the organization will derive the most value. Provides support and leadership to inform and aid evaluation and decision making in technology spending. Participates in the ecosystem strategy development, including environmental analysis, opportunity identification, value cases and business innovation portfolio development. Job Specific Qualifications Required Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study with at least 8 years of relevant work experience. In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, at least 10 years of relevant work experience. Experience implementing / managing Enterprise Architecture and Technology Standards programs in medium to large organizations. Sound expertise in product/program management and alignment with Architecture deliverables (road maps, principles, standards, and best practices). Ability to proactively communicate technical topics in a clear, succinct, and relevant way. Proven experience in managing program budgets and Technology cost centers in large corporate environments to ensure corporate targets are met. Technology procurement and Technology financial operations Experience ensuring vendor contracts support business and corporate needs. Proficient in working with business areas to understand needs/requirements with an Ability provide innovative solutions. Technically knowledgeable with the ability to assess solutions for current and future needs across organizations. Proven experience with leading teams on the implementation and enhancements of Energy Efficiency technologies, and/or cloud technologies. Track record as an innovator and agent leading organizations and people through change. Proven experience in long term planning including building roadmaps and program planning. Has digital acumen. Strong leadership and influence skills. Ability to present to all levels of management and executive leadership. Excellent teamwork, facilitation, relationship building, and negotiation skills. Strong understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks. Deep knowledge of cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP). Expertise in network architecture, security, and virtualization. Experience with data architecture and data management concepts. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Desired Certifications in cloud computing, cybersecurity, or enterprise architecture. Experience with agile/waterfall development methodologies. Knowledge of specific industry standards and regulations.
