Django Developer

C&G Partners has an immediate opening for a contract-based Django Developer. Following the newest standards and best practices, we build robust custom Django websites and web applications for a variety of clients. We focus on usability and seamless transactions throughout our products. Within the Django admin, we create the simplest workflows for the best client experience. For end users we measure and optimize load times to deliver the fastest possible content. To get the highest-quality code, we incorporate testing, monitoring and documentation along the way. In our team we encourage exploring new methodologies and insights to improve our process and products; we're always growing and learning. In this job you'll be working with us to build Django websites and maintain our shared libraries. Technical Requirements: At least two years experience building websites with Django and Python Experience integrating with a search engine such as Solr or Elasticsearch Experience with MySQL and Postgres databases Experience using version control, APIs and design patterns Bonus: Experience writing unit tests Experience configuring Apache, Nginx or Varnish Experience with other platforms such as Drupal, .Net, CodeIgniter, Symfony, WordPress, etc. Experience with modern toolkits such as Grunt, Bower, NPM, Yeoman Experience with build automation The position is available in New York City.
