About the opportunity:
We are seeking a highly skilled
Specialist Java Developer
with hands-on experience in
big data processing and analytics . The ideal candidate will design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and applications, leveraging
Java, Python, and PySpark
on
Databricks
and cloud-based environments. Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain
high-performance Java applications
for data processing and analytics. Build and optimize
ETL/ELT pipelines
using
PySpark
on Databricks for batch and streaming data. Collaborate with Data Engineers, Analysts, and DevOps teams to ensure
data quality, performance, and scalability . Implement
data transformation, aggregation, and integration workflows
across multiple sources. Participate in
code reviews, testing, and performance tuning
to ensure reliable and maintainable solutions. Develop
automation scripts
and tools using
Python
to support operational efficiency. Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to
data pipelines and Java applications . Document technical designs, architecture, and data workflows for future reference and compliance. Required Skills & Qualifications Strong proficiency in
Java , with deep understanding of object-oriented design and software engineering best practices. Hands-on experience with
Python
and
PySpark
in big data environments. Experience with
Databricks ,
Spark , and distributed data processing frameworks. Knowledge of
cloud platforms
(AWS, Azure, or GCP) and deploying data workloads. Familiarity with
relational and NoSQL databases
(PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redshift, etc.). Understanding of
data pipelines, ETL processes, and data modeling . Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and collaboration skills. Experience with
version control systems
(Git) and CI/CD pipelines is a plus. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of
Kafka or other streaming platforms
for real-time data processing. Exposure to
machine learning pipelines
or MLOps workflows. Experience in
performance optimization
