Bachelors Degree in Engineering Duties: Work as a member of a multi-discipline project team in the design and development of projects. Collaborate with, and act as a resource for, Huitt-Zollars in a multi-discipline office, including conducting meetings with clients, internal disciplines, and contractors. Design and analyze structural systems for low-to high-rise buildings. Coordinate and delegate tasks between multiple disciplines and attend regular meetings. Effectively mentor young engineers and assist in their development. Assist and work with senior staff to develop project budgets and proposed fees. Review shop drawings, perform field inspections, and facilitate the construction administration process. Demonstrate competency in all project phases. Perform quality reviews of engineering plans for completeness and accuracy. Key Responsibilities: Takes active steps in the pursuit of winning new business or additional opportunities with existing clients. Successfully and consistently functions as Lead Principal-in-Charge for their designated Practice Area in the geographic market. Competent, knowledgeable, service leader in the market(s) they service. Understands and follows HZ QMS and Quality initiatives. Prepares and follows comprehensive Project Framework Instructions and proper work planning for a project. Reviews project reports and performance metrics to track project progress and budget. Proactively works with PM to strategize resolving issues that impact project performance. Successfully contributes to the overall profitability and financial performance on projects. Oversees staff deliverables and production assigned to their projects. Role Competencies: Sharing Information:

Maintaining awareness of internal and external talent and hiring needs. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in engineering; a Master of Science Degree is welcomed but not required. Must be a Licensed Engineer (P.E.) in the state of Colorado. Minimum 10 years of experience. Experience in design of structural systems using materials such as wood framed, light gauge and structural steel, concrete, masonry, and deep foundations. Sound verbal, written, and graphic communication skills. Excellent ability to interact with clients and multi-discipline team members. Organized and self-motivated. Experience in Adapt software, RAM structural systems, RAM elements, RISA software, Microsoft Office Suite. Strong Revit skills. Strong understanding of national codes and industry standards.
